Alarming heat is scorching Siberia as the small town of Verkhoyansk (67.5°N latitude) reached 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, 32 degrees above the normal high temperature.

If this temperature is verified, this would likely be the hottest temperature ever recorded in Siberia and also the hottest temperature ever recorded north of the Arctic Circle, which begins at 66.5°N.

To put this into perspective, this Siberian town is further north than even Fairbanks, Alaska, and the city of Miami, Florida, has only reached 100 degrees one time since the city began keeping temperature records in 1896.

Verkhoyansk is typically one of the coldest spots on Earth. And this past November, the area reached nearly 60 degrees Fahrenheit below zero.

So the situation now is certainly uncharacteristic of Siberia where reaching 100 degrees in or near the Arctic is almost unheard of.

As a result of the hot-dry conditions right now, numerous fires rage nearby, and smoke is visible for thousands of miles on satellite images.

And this heat is not an isolated occurrence as parts of Siberia have been sizzling for weeks and running remarkably above normal since January.

As the average temperatures continue to heat up, scientists say the extremes like the current heat wave will become more frequent and intensify.

The Biblical Prophecies (Revelation 16) foretell that there will be increasing heat upon the earth from the Sun until temperatures will scorch the skin of humanity.

These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
