There are reports that Israel Defense Forces are preparing for a U.S. military strike on Iran during the next two months of President Trump’s presidency.

This comes a week after it was reported that Trump had asked his senior advisers for options to strike Iran’s main nuclear site after international inspectors reported details about a significant increase in Iran’s stockpile of nuclear material.

The reports say there is no intelligence that indicates an imminent U.S. strike, but Israeli officials anticipate that the coming weeks will be “a very sensitive period.”

Israeli media reported earlier this week that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu flew into Saudi Arabia for a secret meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The two share a common enemy in Iran, and the reported meeting coincided with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s visit to the Persian Gulf.

Pompeo has raised the alarm over the Iranian regime increasing its stockpile of enriched uranium, and concern that the United States in the future could abandon sanctions on Iran.

It’s expected that a Biden presidency would go back to a path of diplomacy with Iran and would rejoin in an agreement with them to continue follow-on negotiations.

It seems Israel thinks Trump is serious about possibly deciding to attack Iran’s nuclear site so to make a lasting impact on their nuclear capability and set back Iran’s nuclear plans.

And in anticipation of that possibility, Israel is preparing now for multiple possibilities of Iranian retaliation either against Israel directly or through Iranian proxies in Syria, Gaza or Lebanon, according to Israeli officials.
