Israel wants to “share the land and find a way to live together” with the Palestinians.

This is what Israeli President Rivlin told Cardinal Leonardo Sandri, one of the highest-ranking Vatican diplomats, when they met at the President’s Residence in Israel.

Sandri, who is the Prefect of the Congregations for the Oriental Catholic Churches, had came with a delegation that included several Franciscan priests, as well as the Papal Nuncio and the Custos of the Holy Land.

He was in the region to mark the 800th anniversary of the Pilgrimage of Peace to the Middle East by St. Francis of Assisi and his dialogue with the Sultan of Egypt.

Rivlin, who has met with Pope Francis, said he is aware of the efforts being made by the Vatican to bring about a cessation of hostilities in the Middle East in general and between Israel and the Palestinians in particular.

And Rivlin told Sandri that he knows the Vatican is working to find a solution to the century-old issue. Rivlin emphasized the need to build understanding between Israelis and Palestinians.

Sandri  also commented that it was the 25th anniversary year of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Vatican and Israel. And said that this was a great step in the history of both the State of Israel and the Vatican.

He also expressed the hope that the relationship between the Vatican and Israel would serve as a bridge to resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

These events and conditions happening now are signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).

Preparing those Biblically born again into the Kingdom of God to be ready to escape all the things that will come to pass, in the wrath of the tribulation of Revelation prophecy, that comes upon the world of disobedience. As the born again Church is not appointed unto wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10) but instead to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
