New Blitz Of Coronavirus In Many States As Cases Increase

Signs of the Last Days® MinistryNews

14 states and the US territory of Puerto Rico have recorded their worst week yet for new coronavirus infections.

Texas hit a record high in Covid-19 hospitalizations, all while restrictions to curb the pandemic are being relaxed across America.

New infections have surged as detected in several states including Florida, Texas and California, as authorities allow businesses and public places to reopen.

Since the start of June, 14 states and Puerto Rico have experienced their highest seven-day average of new coronavirus cases since the pandemic began.

The states are Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Kentucky, New Mexico, North Carolina, Mississippi, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Utah.

The surge in cases, which public health experts have described as worrying and had also warned about, shows that while Covid-19 is now in retreat in New York City and other major urban centers, it is still sweeping across other states.

Figures from the Texas department of state health services showed that 1,935 people were hospitalized for coronavirus-related reasons on Monday, up from a previous record of 1,888 on 5 May.

Officials in Dallas said the city hit its highest ever one-day total for new infections while Houston has also recorded climbing numbers.

California saw a 40% rise in cases, with numbers in large cities rising including Los Angeles, which has the highest number of cases in the state.

Arizona has seen one of the largest jumps in the country, with the daily total in new cases breaking the state record on four separate occasions over the past week.

Arizona has told hospitals to activate their coronavirus emergency plans since cases have surged there turning it into a U.S. virus hotspot.

Given the lag in incubation times of the virus, it appears the rise in cases has occurred from when states started to lift restrictions around the timing of the Memorial Day holiday.

And states are pushing ahead with reopening. Florida is moving on with their second phase where bars and movie theaters can accept customers, and Texas is now allowing almost any business to operate at 50% capacity.

Some experts are also saying that the number of cases could likely be exacerbated by the large protest gatherings across the US in recent weeks over the death of George Floyd at the hands of police.

The Biblical prophecies (Matthew 24, Luke 21) foretell that pestilence will be a sign of the Last Days indicating the coming end of this age of grace.

These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
