People are injured and missing as emergency crews are racing to the scene after a volcano erupted on White Island off the coast of New Zealand, authorities said.

New Zealand’s White Island volcano erupted suddenly prompting fears for a group of visitors seen walking on the crater floor moments before.

The Prime Minister said people were unaccounted for after the eruption and that some 100 tourists were “on or around” the volcano when it erupted and an unknown number are unaccounted for.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said “Some of those, at this stage, are unaccounted for,” she said. ‘”A number of people are reportedly injured and are being transported to shore.”

She said the incident appeared to be “very significant.” And that ““It is very much an evolving situation and of course all our thoughts are with those affected.”

St John Ambulance said there were up to 20 people believed injured but medical teams were still en route.

The country’s National Emergency Management Agency said that a volcanic eruption occurred at White Island and that it was hazardous in the immediate vicinity of the volcano.

Cameras providing a live feed from the volcano showed more than half a dozen people walking inside the rim before images went dark when the surprise eruption occurred minutes later.

The Biblical prophecies (Matthew 24, Revelation 6) foretell that seismic activity as earthquakes and volcanoes will signal the coming end of this age.

These events and conditions happening now are signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).

Preparing those Biblically born again into the Kingdom of God to be ready to escape all the things that will come to pass, in the wrath of the tribulation of Revelation prophecy, that comes upon the world of disobedience. As the born again Church is not appointed unto wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10) but instead to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
