The US President plans to declare a national emergency today over the coronavirus outbreak when he will hold a news conference in Washington.
Reportedly he will invoke the Stafford Act to open the door to more federal aid for states and municipalities, according to those familiar with the matter.
There has been increasing pressure to act as governors and mayors nationwide step up actions to mitigate the spread, closing schools and canceling public events.
Declaring a national emergency would allow the government to marshal additional resources to combat the virus outbreak in the US.
It would also mark a turning point for the president, who has repeatedly compared the coronavirus to the seasonal flu and insisted that his administration had the outbreak under control.
An emergency declaration is thought to allow a state to request a 75% federal cost-share for expenses that include emergency workers, medical tests, medical supplies, vaccinations, and security for medical facilities.
Only a few national emergency declarations for public health threats have ever been made showing the impact of this pestilence that is now shaking the US in all areas.
Biblical Prophecies (Matthew 24, Luke 21) foretell that pestilence will be a sign of the Last Days indicating the nearing end of this age of grace.
These events and conditions happening now are signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
Preparing those Biblically born again into the Kingdom of God to be ready to escape all the things that will come to pass, in the wrath of the tribulation of Revelation prophecy, that comes upon the world of disobedience. As the born again Church is not appointed unto wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10) but instead to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
