There has been an Islamic terror attack in the city of Vienna, Austria. It was a chaotic situation, with people fleeing from the scene in all directions on foot.

Where four were killed, including a gunman, and fifteen injured in a rampage that saw several attacks made in multiple locations in the city, in what authorities have described as an “Islamist” attack.

Armed forces of the military have been deployed in Vienna to help secure the situation, with authorities indicating that there may be at least one gunman on the loose.

Austria’s Chancellor Sebastian Kurz had warned those responsible for the attack were “professionally prepared” and well equipped with automatic weapons. “It is definitely a terror attack,” Kurz said.

The initial attack was centered on the busy shopping and dining district in Vienna where  shots appeared to be fired at random.

As people dined and drank outside due to the warm weather and virus concerns. A nationwide Covid-19 lockdown was set to begin at midnight.

Vienna remains on high alert following the attack, as police ramp up their investigation into the attack and search for other potential suspects.

The gunman who was shot dead by police about nine minutes into his attack, was wearing a fake suicide belt as he fired at his victims in the heart of the capital.

He had posted a chilling photo of himself shortly before the rampage — clutching an AK-47 assault rifle, a handgun and a machete.

The Islamic terrorist is said to be an Austrian-North Macedonian dual citizen with a previous terror conviction, who shared the image on Instagram as he pledged his allegiance to ISIS jihadists and their leader.

He had previously been jailed for trying to join the terror group in Syria being sentenced to 22 months but was released early.

The Biblical prophecies (Matthew 24, Revelation 6) foretell that growing hatred and the sword of conflict where people kill one another will be signs of the Last Days indicating the nearing end of this age.
