In the conflict between Greece and Turkey over the eastern Mediterranean Sea rich in energy resources, two of their warships going head-on at each other have collided.

The turmoil is over what are the territorial waters between Greece and Turkey as they both defend their conflicting claims of maritime boundaries in the race to tap regional energy reserves in the Mediterranean sea.

As the discovery of deep sea gas fields, in areas off Egypt, Israel and Cyprus, has proved the eastern Mediterranean to be rich in energy resources.

Both Greece and Turkey are on war alert against each other with their warships threatening one another in the Mediterranean Sea.

In this incident, a Turkish survey ship, the Oruc Reis, is being escorted by warships as it examines the area for possible oil and gas drilling, which Greece claims as their territory.

Then one of the Greek warships, the Limnos, was approaching the Turkish survey vessel when it came into the path of one of the Turkish naval warship escorts, the Kemal Reis.

Reports say the Greek frigate maneuvered to avoid a head-on collision and in the process its bow hit the rear of the Turkish frigate.

The Greeks are claiming it was an accident while Turkey’s president Erdogan is saying any attack on a Turkish ship exploring for oil and gas in disputed Mediterranean waters would incur a “high price.”

The threat of conflict comes amid rising tensions between the two nations as Turkey maps out maritime territory for mineral extraction in a region where both claim jurisdiction.

And this region is the Biblically prophesied arrival zone of anti-christ who will arrive there on the world scene through intrigue and conflict.

The Biblical Prophecies (Matthew 24, Luke 21) foretell that the Last Days will be a time of wars and rumors of wars indicating the nearing end of this age of grace.

These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
