The national TV networks today called the winner of the 2020 US presidential election as being Joe Biden.

This was after reporting that Biden had won in the battleground state of Pennsylvania putting him over the threshold of 270 Electoral College votes needed to clinch the presidency.

Acknowledging victory in the election, Biden said on Twitter, “with the campaign over, it’s time to put the anger and the harsh rhetoric behind us and come together as a nation.”

Already, congratulations are coming in to Biden from leaders abroad, including British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

But President Trump went golfing when the major television networks projected his rival had won, immediately accusing Biden of “rushing to falsely pose as the winner.” And does not plan to concede the race.

In a statement, Trump said “this election is far from over.”

And the Trump campaign has said it will file lawsuits to challenge the results in critical states and also expects recounts of the votes.

There were reports of celebrations in city streets when news broke that Biden had reportedly won.

In Washington DC, a wave of noise built as cheers and applause were heard with people emerging onto balconies, yelling, honking car horns and banging pots.

In Brooklyn NY, there were also reports of people screaming and dancing with others yet cheering as the word spread that the networks were reporting that Biden had won.

But Trump supporters reacted with disappointment and suspicion as “Stop the Steal” demonstrators gathered at state capitol buildings in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Phoenix chanting “We want audits!” and speakers saying: “We will win in court!”

What is a fact, is how the election vote highlights a clearly divided nation resulting in such a very close vote and narrow margins in so many states.

The Biblical Prophecies (Matthew 24, Luke 21) foretell that in the Last Days there will be an environment of division with offenses and even hatred which will be signs indicating the nearing end of this age of grace.

These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
