Thousands are fleeing the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian hit the islands as a super-storm with 185 mph sustained winds and wind gusts up to 220 mph.
It’s been reported that at least 80 % of structures have been destroyed and in some areas up to 100% of everything is destroyed leaving tens of thousands of people without shelter.
And residents have been heard to say it is only a fit place for the animals now, and others are saying “paradise has been turned to hell.”
The demand for evacuations has been heavy with hundreds of people fleeing the Bahamas by boat and plane. And thousands more have lined up to get on cruise ships tasked now for evacuations.
As people there want to escape the apocalyptic aftermath of Hurricane Dorian, the most powerful hurricane on record to hit the Bahamas which swept through the islands earlier.
The super-storm leveled some neighborhoods, swallowed others with storm surge, and caused what one official described as a “staggering” number of missing and dead.
Hundreds, and by some estimates thousands, are still missing in the country of about 400,000 people, and the death toll stands at 43 and rising.
The death toll is likely to soar as more bodies are discovered in the ruins and floodwaters left behind by the storm.
In Freeport, witnesses said thousands crowded the port to try to get on a Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line ship offering free passage to Florida to those with necessary U.S. immigration documentation.
Evacuations slowly continue by ferry as hundreds of residents reportedly flee daily. A cruise ship with more than 1,000 evacuees already arrived in south Florida.
Dazed evacuees, some with nothing but the clothes on their backs and plastic shopping bags, sat in the Kendal G. L. Isaacs National Gymnasium in Nassau which has been turned into a shelter.
A boat with 250 evacuees left battered Abaco and arrived in Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas. And another boat with hundreds more aboard was on its way, the National Voice of the Bahamas radio reported.
Additionally, approximately 200 people were also evacuated from Abaco on Bahamasair flights, according to a NEMA spokesperson. And Prime Minister Hubert Minnis said free air evacuations on Bahamasair from Abaco would continue until all Grand Bahama and Abaco residents who want to leave are off the islands.
Bahamas Health Minister Duane Sands said there had been “a tremendous loss of life” in Abaco’s main city of Marsh Harbor. The medical chief of staff at Princess Margaret Hospital in Nassau said two refrigerated, 40-foot trucks would be needed to hold the “staggering” number of bodies that were expected to be found.
The United Nations estimated 70,000 people were in “immediate need of life-saving assistance” such as food, water and shelter.
These historic storms we continue to see are signs of the Biblical prophecy foretold in Luke 21:25 where the Scripture says “… And there shall be … distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring.”
And that is exactly what these super-storms with their power are doing, actually making the sea and waves to sound like roaring as the weather intensifies from the increasing heat waves.
These events and conditions happening now are signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
Preparing those Biblically born again into the Kingdom of God to be ready to escape all these things that will come to pass, in the wrath of the tribulation of Revelation prophecy that comes upon the world of disobedience, as the born again Church is appointed instead to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
