251 Mass Shootings in U.S. in 216 days—More Shootings Than Days In Year

Signs of the Last Days® MinistryNews

As the gunfire recently ripped through America in an unprecedented 24 hours, a bleak milestone in a nation continuing to be rocked by gun violence was marked.

There have been 251 mass shootings thus far in 2019, according to the Gun Violence Archive.

And the shooting spree early Sunday at an entertainment district in Dayton, Ohio – which left at least nine dead and more than two dozen injured – notched an even darker statistic: It occurred on the 216th day of the year.

This means there have been more mass shootings than days so far in this year with 251 mass shootings in 216 days in the U.S.

The recent two massacres became the nation’s latest mass shootings as defined by the archive, a not-for-profit organization that provides online public access to information about gun-related violence.

The archive categorizes mass shootings as incidents in which four or more people were shot or killed, not including the shooters.

This year, more than 520 people have died in mass shootings and at least 2,000 have been injured, according to the data.

The latest bloody 24 hours came in a particularly painful week where already two people were shot and killed at a Walmart store in Southaven, Mississippi, south of Memphis on Tuesday, and three people were killed by gunfire last Sunday at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in Northern California.

The U.S. has entered a new and disturbing era of mass shooting violence where shooters who are filled with hate and anger are randomly killing innocent people in violence as objects of their hatred.

As a country who doesn’t want casualties on foreign battlefields, now our own land has become a battlefield where our citizens are being slaughtered due to the sickness of our own internal divisions and hatred.

The only remedy to this deadly downward spiral is found in the Holy Scriptures of the Bible:

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

The Biblical Prophecies of Jesus Christ (Matthew 24) foretell that the signs of the days of Noah will indicate we are in the Last Days nearing the end of this age. And Genesis 6 describes those days to be an era of extreme violence.

The violence of the days of Noah has returned to the world.

These events and conditions are signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).

Preparing those Biblically born again into the Kingdom of God to be ready to escape all these things that will come to pass, in the wrath of the tribulation of Revelation prophecy that comes upon the world of disobedience, as the born again Church is appointed instead to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
