A 5.3 magnitude earthquake has struck Colorado with the tremor centered about 59 miles southwest of Grand Junction, Colorado.

It was also felt in communities across southeastern Utah.

The earthquake, at 10:22 a.m. today, was also followed by a 2.0 magnitude tremor about 20 minutes later.

With the recent earthquake event a lot of information is not available but there have been no reports of damage as of yet.

Another report tells us the United States Geological Survey says that the earthquake hit at Dove Creek, Colorado, near the Utah border in southwest Colorado this morning.

According to the USGS and various reports, shaking from the earthquake could be felt as far north as Grand Junction and as far west as Moab in Utah.

No further information on the earthquake was immediately available.
