A magnitude 7.7 earthquake has struck western Mexico on the exact same date as the anniversary of two previous devastating earthquakes which residents there are now saying it’s an unexplained curse.
The Mexican Government had just sounded the earthquake alarm earlier in the day as an exercise commemorating the past earthquakes on the same day.
When on Sept. 19, 1985, an earthquake had killed thousands of people and on Sept. 19, 2017, another earthquake had killed 350.
And then just a short while later, this 7.7. earthquake also hit on the same day of Sept. 19, 2022, with initial reports saying that 2 had died and others injured.
It was reported as a relatively shallow quake at only 9 miles deep which could amplify its impact as buildings were damaged, power was knocked out and residents of Mexico City were sent scrambling outside for safety.
There were fatalities as the facade of a department store was crushed and also at a mall where the roof of the mall collapsed into the top floor. And authorities also reported damage to several hospitals in the western state of Michoacan near the epicenter.
The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), one of the country’s most prestigious seats of higher learning, said there was no scientific explanation for three major earthquakes happening on the same day.
But some residents were quoted as calling it an ominous sign where one resident said “it seems like a curse.”
And a business owner in the Cuauhtemoc borough of the city said, “It’s this date. There’s something about the 19th, the 19th is a day to be feared.”
Mexican authorities said that the national seismic alert had sounded nearly two minutes before this quake struck, giving residents some time to act.
But some people in the capital struggled to grasp that it was a real earthquake as the government had already sounded the alarm earlier in the day in commemorating the past earthquakes on the same day.
Leaving residents standing in the streets who were visibly confused and upset to begin talking of what they say is a sign of an earthquake curse.
The Biblical prophecies (Matthew 24, Luke 21, Revelation 6) foretell that there will be the sign of earthquakes in the end-time signaling the world is nearing the end of this age and the coming of Jesus Christ.
These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
