America’s Divisions Result in Mass Shooting of Congress Members

Signs of the Last Days® MinistryGeneral

A man who hated Trump and Republicans as a Democrat and volunteer on Bernie Sanders presidential campaign opened fire with a gun on GOP members of U.S. Congress wounding several seriously.

The congressmen and staffers were at a GOP baseball practice for an annual charity baseball game when James Hodgkinson opened fire on them. Wounded seriously was Majority Whip Steve Scalise, the third-ranking House Republican, and also staffers and U.S. Capitol Police.

At least five people including Scalise were hospitalized.

Lawmakers who were there described a chaotic scene, with many members of the congressional GOP baseball team huddled in a dugout while Capitol police who were part of Scalise’s security detail and local police engaged in a shoot-out with Hodgkinson who later died from wounds.

It was a miracle that no one was killed by the assailant where some reported as many as a hundred shots or more fired including return fire.

In an America already divided with issues, since the Presidential election, the political rhetoric has increasingly escalated.

The words have increasingly turned belligerent and threatening with many congressional members recently angrily shouted down at town halls and threatened afterwards with some of them stating they felt as if they needed to start having protection.

Now the attitudes of division and anger have produced not just heated words of rhetoric but also resulted in violence that is Signs of the Last Days.

Jesus foretold these in Matthew 24 where He said that the Last Days would be as it were in the Days of Noah when violence filled the land. And Jesus said that “… then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.”
