Kentucky Lawmakers Put ‘In God We Trust’ Into Schools

Signs of the Last Days® MinistryNews

Kentucky lawmakers are taking steps to put God in public schools across the state.

The State of  Kentucky legislature has passed a bill that would allow the motto ‘In God We Trust’ to be displayed in public schools next year.

First stamped on a two-cent coin during the Civil War, the motto was put on all U.S. coins starting in 1938. It’s a phrase we see on the back of money, but that motto could very well become prominently displayed in public schools across the Bluegrass State.

Public schools in Kentucky would have to display “In God We Trust” in a prominent location next school year under the bill that has cleared the legislature.

The bill defines a ‘prominent location’ as a school entry way, cafeteria, or common area where students are likely to see the national motto. The display could also be in the form of a mounted plaque or student artwork.

There are no penalties if schools don’t comply, but someone could sue to force them to do it.

There is no reason for us to be ashamed of our national motto; it is a vital part of our culture,” said the bill’s lead sponsor, Republican Representative Brandon Reed, a Christian minister from Hodgenville.

The Holy Bible Scriptures foretell that blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord for the kingdom is the Lord’s and He rules over the nations. (Psalm 33:12, Psalm 22:28)
