CBS News reports a swarm of meteors is heading toward Earth that could have the potential for catastrophic impact a new study says. And this is a sign from the heavens pointing to the meteor swarm prophecy of Jesus Christ in His Revelation.

The news report says the Taurid meteor swarm is a recurring event that some scientists believe could have played a role in the biggest Earth impact of modern times, in 1908, when a space rock slammed into Siberia with enough force to destroy an entire forest.

What has become known as the Tunguska explosion of 1908 was so powerful that the blast leveled 80 million trees over an 800-square-mile area. And many scientists believe this meteor impact came from the Taurid meteor stream which is approaching earth again now.

The Taurid meteor swarm consists of an extremely wide belt of a dense cluster of meteors which the Earth periodically passes through. The geometry of the Taurid meteor stream is a highly elliptical shape, kind of like a miniature belt in space with this ring of material roughly on the same geometric plane as the Earth’s orbit.

That means the Earth will cross paths with the Taurid meteor swarm, and it’s a heavenly phenomenon that can result in a catastrophic collision. 

CBS reported a study from Western Ontario University which says the Taurid meteor swarm is a recurring event that many scientists believe played a role in the biggest Earth meteor impact of modern times.

When on June 30, 1908, an object the size of an apartment building came hurtling out of the sky and exploded in the atmosphere near the surface of the earth in Siberia.

The Tunguska event, named for a nearby river, flattened trees for hundreds of square miles. The meteor slammed into Siberia with enough force to destroy the entire forest.

What has become known as the Tunguska explosion of 1908 was so powerful that the blast leveled 80 million trees over an 800-square-mile area. And the Tunguska meteor event stands as the most powerful impact event in recorded human history.

And many scientists are convinced that the Tunguska explosion of 1908 in Russia was caused by an object from the Taurid meteor swarm.

And new calculations by physicists at Los Alamos National Laboratory, shows that the tree-fall pattern in Siberia is consistent with a meteor coming from the same area in the sky as the Taurid meteor swarm. And just a couple of years ago, scientists discovered a “new branch” of this meteor swarm that contains objects up to 1,000 feet wide.

And now starting this last week of June, our planet will have a close encounter with this meteor swarm, with the end of June marking the point when we are the closest to the center of the swarm.  And the Tunguska event happened during the last week of June on the 30^th in 1908.

And right now researchers are saying that the last week of June this year is “the next occasion with a high probability for a Tunguska-like collision or near-miss”… and then we have another encounter this close again in 2032.

And this swarm of meteors headed toward earth is a sign of the Last Days prophecies which connects to the Biblical prophecy of a coming meteor swarm that will hit earth in the Book of Revelation.

The prophecy in Revelation chapter 6 describes how that the stars of heaven will fall to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.

With the prophecy describing how that very ripened figs fall easily and rapidly one after the other when the wind blows late in their season shaking them all loose with them rapidly hitting the earth together one after the other.

And in the same manner the prophecy is describing how swarms of meteors or falling stars will hit the earth in the Last Days era at the end of this age.
