There is now not a country in the world that has come out in support of the US strike killing Iran’s military leader Soleimani. As typical US allies have distanced themselves from US President Trump’s decision to assassinate him.
At first there was one country that provided support for it. Only one, and it’s not hard to guess who that was. But now, even Israel is also backing away.
The latest comments on it by Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is particularly surprising, as he has been one of Trump’s staunchest supporters.
As he told a meeting of his security cabinet on Monday that “the assassination of Suleimani isn’t an Israeli event but an American event. We were not involved and should not be dragged into it.”
And also the NATO Secretary General after a US briefing to NATO ministers said, “This is a US decision, it is not a decision taken by neither the global coalition nor NATO.” And the rest of his comments focused on the protection of NATO personnel and said nothing supportive of the action.
And there has not been any long-time NATO allies to voice any support.
The UK came out with the British Government saying that conflict with Iran “is in none of our interests” and urged “all parties to de-escalate” saying that Trump was engaging in an “increasingly dangerous game of chicken” with Iran, with both sides doing “increasingly extreme things.”
France described the US action as making the world a more dangerous place resulting in what they feared happening with tensions between the United States and Iran increasing. And they said they would consult with “players in the region” with the priority to stabilize the Mid-East.
And Germany said it was a dangerous point of escalation and that they aimed now to prevent further escalation across the Middle East as they made use of their diplomatic channels to Iran and other states in the region. As they stay in close contact with their British and French partners and other European countries in the region.
So there has been no support given to the US from around the Mediterranean Region for the attack. As countries there are more focused on their region, and maintaining relationships in that area.
No doubt in the hope they can keep out of the cross-hairs of Iran’s revenge.
While they also seem to be viewing the United States as a more remote nation with waning influence or at the least with decreasing significance for their interests in the region.
And these Mediterranean geopolitical self-interests seem to now be driving regional nations attitudes and behaviors, as they seemingly contemplate a future without US presence and power or influence.
And this can drive Biblical prophetic alliances to form around the Mediterranean.
We have already seen this in recent years around the Mediterranean in the Middle East causing the Gog of Magog alliance to start forming up as described in the Ezekiel chapter 38 prophecy.
And these same regional geopolitical self-interests can also push toward the 10 leader prophetical alliance that is to come as foretold in the Daniel and Revelation ten horn prophecies. And from which the coming Anti-christ is foretold to rise up and dominate.
These events and conditions happening now are signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
Preparing those Biblically born again into the Kingdom of God to be ready to escape all the things that will come to pass, in the wrath of the tribulation of Revelation prophecy, that comes upon the world of disobedience. As the born again Church is not appointed unto wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10) but instead to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
