The most powerful earthquake in more than a century hit this U.S. territory and scientists warn it’s impossible to predict how many tremors will continue to happen.

The 6.4 magnitude quake, Puerto Rico’s strongest since 1918, hit this US territory knocking down buildings and leaving hundreds of people homeless.

But there have been about 1,000 more tremors since. As the aftershocks registering all the way up to magnitude 6.0, have continued while a state of emergency was also in effect.

As fearful people slept outside or in their cars on the streets. And even now, scientists earthquake forecast for Puerto Rico is that dozens of more significant aftershocks are likely.

The quakes have been so severe and so many tremors as aftershocks that even the bees are abandoning their hives as they also flee from all the movement in the earthquake zone.

Víctor Huérfano, director of Puerto Rico’s Seismic Network, said “the aftershocks will continue for some time.” It’s another blow to this island that is still feeling the lasting devastation of Hurricane Maria.

People that had just finished fixing the damage to their home from Hurricane Maria are now being forced to start all over again after this severe earthquake.

In some areas after the earthquake, it looked like a bomb went off with buildings reduced to rubble, and cars crushed beneath crumbling foundations. And there were downed power lines everywhere.

As residents said they had ” never seen anything like this.”

The power outage was widespread and long, which left millions of people in the U.S. territory without electricity and hundreds of thousands also were without water.

Many residents and some officials have said the impact from the quakes surpasses the devastation that Hurricane Maria, a Category 5 storm, brought to the island a couple of years ago.

Describing how with the hurricane, you knew when it would arrive and what to expect. But with these quakes you don’t know at what time it’s going to happen or how severe it will be.

As was the case with the devastation they say was worse than Maria from this strongest earthquake to hit this territory since 1918.

The Biblical Prophecies (Matthew 24, Luke 21) foretell that in the Last Days there will be earthquakes as signs we are nearing the end of this age.

These events and conditions happening now are signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).

Preparing those Biblically born again into the Kingdom of God to be ready to escape all the things that will come to pass, in the wrath of the tribulation of Revelation prophecy, that comes upon the world of disobedience. As the born again Church is not appointed unto wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10) but instead to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
