There are countries now blaming religious gatherings as the sources for their corornavirus outbreaks.
A church in Daegu, South Korea, has been blamed as the cause for the coronavirus epidemic in South Korea where many of the cases were traced back to the Shincheonji Church of Jesus.
The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 63.5 percent of all confirmed cases in the country were related to the church organization which became a lightning rod for the public’s wrath.
Then in France, a church is being blamed for sparking the country’s largest cluster of coronavirus cases with members also reportedly dying due to complications linked to COVID-19.
Government officials said that a prayer meeting at the Christian Open Door Church in the border city of Mulhouse on the German border has been linked to coronavirus cases in the region and worldwide.
An official with France’s national public health agency said a quarter of France’s coronavirus cases were in the area of the country where Mulhouse lies and that a great majority of the cases in the region can be traced to the church gathering.
Now in India, officials across the country are searching for hundreds of people who attended a religious event in Delhi as they have reported cases that can be directly traced to a days-long congregation at a mosque there.
And the mosque’s premises include dormitories that can house hundreds of people.
Local reports said the location where the mosque is located has been cordoned off and more than 35 buses carried people to hospitals or quarantine centers with some 300 people showing symptoms and another 700 quarantined.
And now there are several Covid-19 outbreaks with clusters reported in at least six regions that can be traced back to the religious gathering.
Due to the coronavirus outbreaks from the gathering, the Delhi Chief Minister has asked for a police complaint to be registered against the head of the mosque and state officials have also called for action to be taken against mosque officials.
Additionally, the church in South Korea blamed for the outbreak there had its pastor accused of murder and the church said that its members were experiencing violence and persecution from being connected to the coronavirus outbreak.
In the Biblical prophecies of Jesus in Matthew chapter 24, He described the signs that would happen indicating the nearing of the end of this age.
And He said that there would be signs, including pestilence, which would happen as the beginning of the end that He called the “beginning of sorrows.”
And immediately after those signs, Jesus said “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.”
So after the pestilence, Jesus indicated in His prophecy that then would come religious hatred from the world, with enmity between the nations and those who worship Jesus.
And interestingly now, in news events we are seeing signs of pestilence and religious enmity being connected together in a domino effect in countries across the world.
Even in the U.S. there are news events now where there is conflict between pastors and churches with government officials. Where pastors of churches feel duty-bound to continue church services, and government officials feel duty-bound to stop them.
And no matter which side of the issue you may come down on, the fact remains, now in America, police are arresting Christian pastors for holding church services.
And government officials like the mayor of New York is threatening to permanently close down churches if they violate the order banning gathering together.
And there is the fact, that Lord Jesus connected both of these signs in His prophecy, of what would indicate the nearing of the end of this age.
These events and conditions happening now are signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
