Standing in long lines for meat could be in America’s future as the coronavirus wreaks havoc on the industry, causing the closure of pork, beef and poultry processing plants across the country.

Tyson Foods Chairman John H. Tyson spelled it out in a full-page newspaper piece that states: “The food supply chain is breaking.”

The executive’s warning came days after Tyson shut down a large meat processing plant in Waterloo, Iowa, after multiple employees tested positive for covid-19.

The closure is among dozens involving major meat companies, with a Smithfield Foods pork plant in South Dakota also out of commission.

JBS USA shutdown its meatpacking plant in Green Bay, Wisconsin, after health officials traced at least 189 positive cases to the facility.

There have been at least 4,135 reported positive cases tied to meatpacking facilities at 75 plants in 25 states and at least 18 reported worker deaths at nine plants in nine states.

“As pork, beef and chicken plants are being forced to close, even for short periods of time, millions of pounds of meat will disappear from the supply chain,” Chairman Tyson wrote in the published letter.

“As a result, there will be limited supply of our products available in grocery stores until we are able to reopen our facilities that are currently closed.”

He also said, “Farmers across the nation simply will not have anywhere to sell their livestock to be processed, when they could have fed the nation. Millions of animals —chickens, pigs and cattle— will be depopulated because of the closure of our processing facilities.”

He added that, “The food supply chain is breaking.”

The Biblical prophecies (Matthew 24) describe that pestilence and famine together will be signs which indicate the beginning of the end of this age of grace called the “beginning of sorrows.”

These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
