Another rare celestial event has happened on this day where the moon, after coming into alignment between the earth and the sun during the epic American total solar eclipse last month, is now sliding between the Earth and not just one but six celestial bodies.
When the moon passes in front of something besides the sun, it’s called an occultation.
And now we are having a lunar occultation with the moon coming into alignment with three planets, then one of the sky’s brightest stars, and also two asteroids in a single day, according to the US Naval Observatory.
It’s very unusual for so many celestial bodies to be involved in this way.
As God said in Genesis 1:14, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons …”
