Darkness has descended on California in apocalyptic scenes as power has been cut to more than a million people in face of the on-going wildfire risk as a massive blackout is rolling through California.

In the biggest electric power shutdown in history, the utility PG&E started turning off the power to residents, businesses, and entire towns that’s estimated to affect more than a million people in rolling blackouts planned for 30 counties.

The shutdown was aimed at keeping power off live wires during the hot and dry days California continues to have that is ideal for the spread of wildfires.

But officials in the state slammed the huge impact the massive rolling blackout is having saying “it is a completely unacceptable state of affairs.”

One official in the San Francisco area, called the blackouts “unacceptable,” estimating that 2.5 million people could ultimately be affected.

The impact of the blackout is like the aftermath of an apocalyptic event as large swaths of the state went into darkness.

The San Francisco Bay Area was impacted and areas such as Napa and Sonoma, famed for wine-making also were hit. Then further south, cities synonymous with the Silicon Valley giants could be affected, such as Cupertino, home to Apple.

Resource centers were opened up around Northern California so people could charge up devices, use the bathroom or grab a bottle of water.

Stores were not able to open, traffic lights did not work as drivers navigated the roads on their own, school systems were closed, and people could not power their homes and cooling systems, while generators were also sold out.

As it was determined to have huge swaths of the state go dark for days instead of risking the ignition of cataclysmic firestorms. Such as what completely burned the town of Paradise off the map last year with a 100 foot-high wall of fire with scores killed and thousands displaced.

They have chosen darkness over fire as the Apocalypse is Now in areas of California as the signs of the Last Days prophecies are happening.

As they sit in dark houses or stuck at intersections with no signal lights, frightened by high heat and winds, while paying exorbitant prices for generators if they can find one, and perhaps some are praying for the rain to come.

These events and conditions happening now are signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).

Preparing those Biblically born again into the Kingdom of God to be ready to escape all the things that will come to pass, in the wrath of the tribulation of Revelation prophecy, that comes upon the world of disobedience. As the born again Church is not appointed unto wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10) but instead to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
