A soccer field where children and teenagers were playing soccer in a village in the Golan Heights was attacked by rockets from southern Lebanon killing at least a dozen of the youths. In what the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson said was “the deadliest attack on Israeli civilians since October 7.”

They said at least 12 young people, including children, were killed when multiple rockets hit the village of Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights in an attack described by Israel as the deadliest against it since October 7.

Also, at least 30 people were injured in the attack on this village in Israel’s northern Golan Heights that is home to a large Druze community.

Israel said it had identified “approximately 30 projectiles” crossing from Lebanon into Israeli territory and blamed the Iran-backed Lebanese militant group Hezbollah for the barrage.

Among the sites hit in the attack was this soccer field where the children and teenagers had been playing.

A resident of Majdal Shams, said that those killed in the rocket attack on the soccer field were all children from local villages, boys between the ages of eight and 15.

The witness said they were attending a soccer training class with a coach whose fate is still unknown in that not everyone is accounted for. Since there are more who were torn apart and are still unidentified where the death toll can still rise.

Medical teams said they saw destruction and fire when arriving at the scene where they said the sights were dire of the dead and injured lying on the soccer field grass as they worked to save the injured.

The Medical Center in the northern Israeli city of Safed said it had so far received 26 injured people, five of whom were admitted to the trauma center.

The IDF spokesperson said that “Our intelligence is clear – Hezbollah is responsible for killing innocent children. Ten-year-old children and once again, the brutality of Hezbollah as a terrorist organization was exposed.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he was “shocked” by the attack and “made it clear” that “Hezbollah will pay a heavy price for the attack.”

Israeli President Isaac Herzog decried the attack as a “terrible and shocking disaster” and vowed Israel would “defend” its citizens.

He said “Hezbollah terrorists brutally attacked and murdered children today, whose only crime was going out to play soccer. They did not return.”

He went on to say, “The world cannot continue to sit in silence in the face of (Hezbollah leader Hassan) Nasrallah’s terror attacks, which come at the behest of the empire of evil in Iran. The State of Israel will firmly defend its citizens and its sovereignty.”

An EU foreign policy official said, “Shocking images from the soccer field in the Druze town of Majdal Shams. I strongly condemn this bloodbath.”

This Signs of the Last Days ministry recently forewarned that Israel’s prophetic war with Hezbollah of Tyre & Sidon in southern Lebanon was getting hot as Israel had retreated from its northern border to escape the intensifying attacks of Hezbollah.

And this heinous attack now by Hezbollah on Israel inside the Golan,  killing these children playing soccer on their field, is a major escalation in what has been an extremely volatile and fiery recent months at Israel’s northern border area.

No doubt there will be a serious response of retaliation by Israel deeper into southern Lebanon to strike against Hezbollah.

The Biblical prophecies (Psalm 83, Isaiah 17, Joel 3) foretell that Hamas of Biblical Philistia in Gaza and Hezbollah of Biblical Tyre & Sidon in southern Lebanon will lead the Arabs into unifying for a multi-front war against Israel in the Last Days signaling the world is nearing the end of this age and the coming of Jesus Christ.
