Bahamas Called Apocalyptic Ruins After 185-200 Mph Winds & In Humanitarian Crisis

Signs of the Last Days® MinistryNews

Relief officials are reporting scenes of utter ruin in parts of the Bahamas as they rush to deal with an unfolding humanitarian crisis in the wake of Hurricane Dorian, the most powerful storm on record ever to hit the islands.

At least five deaths have been reported but the full scope of the disaster is still unknown with great concern yet for lives and property.

Lia Head-Rigby, who helps run a local hurricane relief organization and flew over the Bahamas’ hard-hit Abaco Island, said “It’s total devastation. It’s decimated. Apocalyptic. It looks like a bomb went off. It’s not rebuilding something that was there; we have to start again.”

She also said her representative on Abaco told her that “there’s a lot more dead” and that all the bodies were still being gathered up.

Emergency authorities, meanwhile, struggled to reach victims amid conditions too dangerous even for rescue workers, and urged people to hang on.

The storm’s punishing winds and muddy brown floodwaters destroyed or severely damaged thousands of homes, crippled hospitals and trapped people in attics.

In the Bahamas, the Red Cross spokesman said that close to half of the homes in Grand Bahama and Abaco, were believed to have been severely damaged or destroyed.

UN officials said more than 60,000 people on the hard-hit islands will need food, and the Red Cross said some 62,000 will need clean drinking water.

Previously, the Abaco and Grand Bahama islands, with a combined population of about 70,000, were known for their marinas, golf courses and all-inclusive resorts.

But now the main hospital on Grand Bahama is unusable, while the hospital in Marsh Harbor in Abaco was in need of food, water, medicine and surgical supplies. The Grand Bahama airport was under 6 feet of water.

Hurricane Dorian was historic as the strongest ever recorded storm in that region of the Atlantic Ocean when it approached the Bahama Islands with sustained winds of 185 mph that at times also roared up to 220 mph.

The Last Days Prophecy of Jesus Christ is coming true where he foretold in Luke 21:25  the sign of these historic storms we continue to see, where He said “… And there shall be … distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring.”

These events and conditions happening now are signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).

Preparing those Biblically born again into the Kingdom of God to be ready to escape all these things that will come to pass, in the wrath of the tribulation of Revelation prophecy that comes upon the world of disobedience, as the born again Church is appointed instead to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
