As the pandemic of covid-19 pestilence is punishing the societies and economies of nations around the world, there are world leaders who are making calls to form a global government so to deal with the challenge.

Gordon Brown, the former Prime Minister of the UK, said that “this is not something that can be dealt with in one country, there has to be a coordinated global response.”

The prime minister was at the center of the international efforts to tackle the impact of the near-meltdown of banks during the 2008 financial crisis.

At that time he persuaded other global leaders of the need to bail out the banks and then hosted a meeting of the G20 in London which came up with the economic rescue package.

He is now saying there is a need for a task-force, involving world leaders, health experts and the heads of international organizations, that would have world-wide executive powers to coordinate a response for covid-19.

Where he said there would be “… some sort of working executive” who could make a difference with all countries since there is the potential for a massive number of people to be affected, not only medically but also economically.

Currently, individual countries world-wide are struggling with trying to stop the coronavirus pandemic and the ramifications of that in their economies. And Brown is recommending a global government body be formed to do so.

Also, António Guterres, the United Nations Secretary General, has now said that the coronavirus pandemic is the biggest challenge for the world since World War Two, which could bring a recession “that probably has no parallel in the recent past.”

He spoke at the UN headquarters in New York at the release of a report on the potential socioeconomic impact of the covid-19 pandemic. Where he also said “the new coronavirus disease is attacking societies at their core, claiming lives and people’s livelihoods.”

He went on to describe covid-19 as the greatest test the world has faced together since the formation of the United Nations and called for a global coordinated response.

The UN report said it was a “global health crisis unlike any in the 75-year history of the United Nations,” and called on the nations of the world for the launch of a “large-scale, coordinated and comprehensive multilateral response” to the coronavirus pandemic.

Additionally, the World Bank also warned that “significant economic pain” seemed “unavoidable in all countries”, describing that industries were vulnerable to the impact of the virus.

As the signs of the last days prophecies increasingly manifest in the world as extreme weather, earthquakes, famines and pestilences, these challenges will increasingly cause distress of the nations. As they will become overwhelmed finding themselves with inadequate resources.

And this will push the nations of the world toward fulfillment of the Revelation Prophecies (Revelation 13) which describes a government coming with world influence and a world leader who will implement an economic system to manage society and its economy.

The Prophecy describes the government as a Beast with an economic system called the Mark of the Beast. And world events are shaping up for the Beast system to be introduced into the world.

These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
