A group describing themselves as “Christian witches” are hosting their very first convention in Salem, Massachusetts – a city known for its notorious witch trials in the late 1600s.
Ahead of the first annual Christian witches convention, the group of self-proclaimed Christian witches are claiming that Jesus Christ was a sorcerer and magician while the Bible is a book of magic.
The woman behind the event says her “divine assignment” on earth is to promote witchcraft, saying she is an ordained minister of spiritual consciousness and recently founded the Covenant of Christian Witches Mystery School.
She says “I am a Christian Witch; I love my cross and my wand. I consult my Tarot deck and my Bible. I adore & am devoted to Christ and the Goddess.” And she claims she found inner peace by writing “The Christian Witch’s Creed.”
A man named Witcher who calls himself a “prophet,” will also attend the conference. And he claims that the Bible is full of witchcraft. “The Bible is a huge book of sorcery. You literally can’t get around that. You can’t get around Jesus being a magician. There’s just no way,” he said.
“You’re talking about the whole of Jesus’ adult ministry is all magic, all sorcery… every particular miracle Jesus does defies human law, defies the laws of the universe and the world. So … you can’t really talk about being a Jesus follower without doing what he did which is magic,” Witcher claims.
Reportedly, ministries that track witchcraft have said there is a rise of people claiming to be Christians practicing witchcraft to where these people in their churches release word curses, pray against others, and conduct unholy fasts to destroy people.
But the sorcery of witchcraft is labeled in Galatians chapter 5 of the Bible as a dangerous work of the flesh where people are tapping into dangerous evil. And previously in 2 Chronicles 33, the Lord God said that those who practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft and sorcery, and consulted mediums and spiritists, did much evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger.
Religious people, including such people as these claiming to be “Christians,” embracing the sorcery of witchcraft is a Sign of the Last Days prophecies.
The Revelation prophecies (Revelation 18) foretell the rise of sorcery in the Last Days as the spirit of Babylon increases again in the world which is the habitation of demons who will by sorcery deceive the nations.
Including the false prophet (Revelation 13), who will perform great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, and he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs.
Sorcery is the demonic enabled fleshly imitation of the true divine Spiritual works of the living Lord God. Just as in the Exodus, when Pharaoh called the sorcerers to do their magic with their enchantments to imitate the miracles God did with Moses and Aaron.
For every man threw down his rod, and they became serpents, but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods. There is none like the power of the one true God’s Holy Spirit.
But this spirit of blasphemy is growing stronger in the world which is the spirit of anti-christ. The prophecies foretell as in Daniel 11 and Revelation 13 that the anti-christ will be fiercely proud and blasphemous speaking blasphemies against the Lord God. And now as is foretold in Daniel 8, in the Last Days the transgressors are reaching their fullness in the spirit of anti-christ until that evil son of perdition arises.
It is shocking that people could claim to call themselves Christian and a believer of Jesus Christ, would also call themselves witches and are practicing the sorcery of magic.
But this is a sign of the madness that is rising in the world as the prophecy foretold, to where the Bible says the mystery of iniquity or lawlessness is at work, because people don’t love and believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
So they will be sent strong delusion (2 Thessalonians 2), which is a sign of madness, that they will believe lies, and will be condemned. The world’s gone mad as it pertains to Biblical truth and values.
The Lord God foretold in Isaiah 66 “So will I choose their delusions, And bring their fears on them; Because, when I called, no one answered, When I spoke they did not hear; But they did evil before My eyes, And chose that in which I do not delight.”
It is critical in the Last Days we hold to the Biblical blueprint of Jesus and His Apostles, so to be Biblically born again as Jesus commanded in John 3 and His Apostles told how in Acts 2, and also again in Acts 10 and Acts 19; providing three witnesses to humanity beginning with the Jews, then the Gentiles, and unto the whole world.
So that we are inoculated and protected from the spirit of deceptive delusion whose tentacles are encircling the world, including the religious and even some who also claim to be called “Christian.”
For when the Biblical new birth taught by Jesus and practiced by the Apostles such as in Acts 19 occurs, then people are “baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus,” “the Holy Spirit came upon them,” “diseases left them,” “evil spirits went out of them,” “who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds,” and “those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all,” as “the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed.” (direct quotes from Acts 19)
Signs of the Last Days prophecies are showing we are nearing the appearance of Jesus Christ at the end of this age. Even so, come Lord Jesus.
