With little warning a dangerous volcano in the Congo has erupted turning the dark sky a fiery red with the lava river engulfing homes and sparking fires.
So far its reported that 17 villages have been affected and 32 people killed by the volcano as the death toll is expected to keep rising. Also, more than 170 children are still feared missing.
As the lava river is now menacingly at the edge of Goma, a Congo city of 2 million people.
About 5,000 people have fled crossing into Rwanda and another 25,000 have fled northwest towards the town of Sake as the lava began spewing.
The lava has crossed the N2 road which connects Goma to the city of Beni and serves as a main aid and supply route. Also, Goma’s international airport was closed.
Some people were killed when lava from the volcano hit their homes. Others died in car accidents while trying to escape. And some died from inhaling smoke or toxic gas from the volcano.
Grief, disbelief and fear hung over the area as a delegation of government ministers, including Congo’s health minister, visited the area since the eruption.
Where the Volcanic Observatory had its funding cut because of the coronavirus pandemic, leaving the observatory to where scientists were not able to adequately warn the public of the eruption.
The Biblical prophecies (Matthew 24, Luke 21, Revelation 6) foretell that there will be seismic activity of earthquakes and volcanoes signaling the world is nearing the end of this age.
These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
