“Dark Days In Israel”-1st Time Ever Israel President Asks Parliament For Government

Signs of the Last Days® MinistryGeneral

For the first time in Israeli history, Israel’s President Rivlin announced that no prime minister candidate has been able to form a government.

Rivlin informed Israel’s parliament the Knesset that neither Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu nor his chief challenger, retired military chief Benny Gantz, have completed the task of building a coalition in the allotted time-frame.

The formal expiration of the presidential mandate kicks off the final 21-day window before new elections must be called.

Israel’s President called it a “miserable political situation” and pleaded with legislators to find some form of compromise. “These are harsh dark days in the annals of the state of Israel,” he said.

Rivlin went on to say, “In the coming 21 days, there will be no ‘bloc’ or ‘party’. Each and every person will sit with their conscience and will have to answer one question: What is my duty towards Israel?”

Netanyahu, Gantz, or any other sitting legislator in the parliament can hypothetically present the backing of a majority of parliament’s 120 members in the coming weeks.

But given the prolonged stalemate and unsuccessful mediation efforts, it increasingly appears the country is headed towards an unprecedented third election in less than a year.

A third election is “extremely unpopular” among the Israeli public, but there is little to cause anyone to think that Netanyahu or Gantz are willing to join in a unity government with a rotating premiership.

Gantz has also said he can’t serve under a prime minister facing indictment and Netanyahu has now been indicted and facing criminal charges from three corruption cases.

Netanyahu could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted of bribery and a maximum three-year term for fraud and breach of trust.

But Netanyahu, as Israel’s longest-serving leader, has denied any wrongdoing in the three corruption cases, saying he is a victim of a political witch-hunt.

It’s unclear what will be the final outcome from this election in Israel, but when the normal course of nations and people are disrupted from their norm, the Unseen Hand of God can be at work. And Israel is a nation of Biblical prophetic destiny (Ezekiel 37, Zechariah 14).

These events and conditions happening now are signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).

Preparing those Biblically born again into the Kingdom of God to be ready to escape all the things that will come to pass, in the wrath of the tribulation of Revelation prophecy, that comes upon the world of disobedience. As the born again Church is not appointed unto wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10) but instead to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.

The prophecy has come true, the perilous times are here. The need is greater than ever before. Help us declare the signs of the Biblical prophecies as watchmen to this generation.
