Hurricane Delta is barreling toward the Gulf Coast. The storm is on track to hit the same part of Louisiana where Hurricane Laura struck, this time with 100 mph winds and storm surges up to 11 feet.
“Six storms in just four months,” said Bill Bowers, Lafayette resident. “That’s an oddity, never seen that before.”
The state is still recovering from Hurricane Laura which hit just weeks ago and there’s concern in the hard-hit city of Lake Charles and that surrounding area about debris left behind by Laura.
Estimates are that there is still about a million and a half tons of debris laying around the Lake Charles area. And that now can become ammunition for Hurricane Delta.
Which can make it that much more dangerous from the 100 mph winds of Delta even though they don’t reach the same speeds as they did six weeks ago. As a weary Louisiana is now preparing for their sixth storm of the 2020 hurricane season.
Hurricane Delta is also a historic storm even though it is fortunately weaker than Hurricane Laura.
When Delta does make landfall it will set a record as the first-ever hurricane named after a Greek letter to strike the U.S., and the 10th storm of the season to make landfall in the continental U.S. — which is also a new record.
The Biblical prophecies of Lord Jesus (Luke 21) foretold there would be the intensification of storms on the earth with the sea and the waves roaring.
And it has come to pass just as He said, as the earth has entered a historic prophetic time, as we are experiencing record hurricane seasons and storm after storm themselves setting records indicating the nearing end of this age.
These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
