A magnitude 5.7 earthquake has struck off the coast of Northern California in the Pacific Ocean, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said, and there have not been reports of damage or injury.
But it was quickly followed by another second quake of 5.6 closer to shore, the USGS said.
Both quakes struck west of the California town of Petrolia and were very shallow, amplifying their effects.
Earthquakes are foretold as Signs of the Last Days, for they are in the prophecy of Jesus Christ in Matthew 24, where He included diverse earthquakes as signs of the end of this age.
