A series of earthquakes have shaken Lake Tahoe that jolted the Tahoe area with hundreds of local residents posting on social media they had felt the strong rumble.
The strongest, a 3.7 magnitude earthquake, hit right in the middle of the lake.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the epicenter of the earthquake was in Lake Tahoe, about 15 miles south of Truckee,15 miles north of South Lake Tahoe and 15 miles west of Carson City, Nevada.
The USGS said the quake was followed up by aftershocks including a 2.8 magnitude quake and a 2.7 magnitude jolt with the USGS saying shaking was reported on all sides of the lake.
Then the next day another 3.2-magnitude quake shook the area in nearly the same spot, about 5.2 miles west of Dollar Point on the North Shore, which put the epicenter in the lake.
Over 100 people reported feeling the shake while well over 1,500 felt the previous main temblor.
There are three potentially dangerous fault lines that run deep under Lake Tahoe. And geologists warn that the faults beneath Lake Tahoe are capable of generating a 7.1-magnitude quake.
Which such an earthquake could generate enough movement to produce tsunami waves exceeding 30 feet in height on Lake Tahoe. Scientists warn that a catastrophic earthquake there is only a matter of time.
The Biblical prophecies (Matthew 24, Luke 21) foretell that there will be earthquakes in the Last Days signaling the world is nearing the end of this age.
These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
