A group of evangelical leaders met with President Trump and laid their hands on him as they prayed together while meeting in the Oval Office.
About 30 leaders were invited to the White House around a week and a half ago and included many of Trump’s faith advisory council from his campaign.
The meeting was said to be an informal gathering where they prayed for wisdom, that God would protect him and his family, and that God would lead him.
Evangelicals, especially those who consider themselves more charismatic, often lay hands on individuals during prayer, referring to the New Testament where the apostles would lay hands on believers of Jesus Christ in prayer.
