On August 21, 2017 a rare America only total solar eclipse goes from Northwest to Southeast across the land. Afterwards, in only 7 years, a second America only total solar eclipse goes from Southwest to Northeast, marking an “X” onto the heartland of America.
This is an extreme rare celestial event of 2 total solar eclipses that mark onto America within only 7 years. The heartland of America will be the nexus of the next two total solar eclipses to occur in the U.S., on August 21, 2017, and then also April 8, 2024.
Because the 2017 eclipse travels across the country from northwest to southeast and the 2024 eclipse makes its way through the nation from southwest to northeast, the two paths cross each other and create an overlapping zone of almost 9,000 square miles.
There’s no denying the fact that a total solar eclipse is a relatively rare event for any given place. But, for an area to get not one, but two, total solar eclipses in just seven years is a truly remarkable occurrence that demands careful consideration.
Jesus Christ foretold that there will be Signs of the Last Days that affect the Sun: “… And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity ….”(Luke 21:25)
It was a celestial event known as the Star of Bethlehem that was a sign of the birth of Jesus Christ and that led the Scriptural savvy Magi or wise men to Jesus for worship.
Could it be in 2017 that this rare celestial event is a heavenly sign of warning for America to stop pursuing ungodliness and turn back to God in prayer and repentance worshiping Him?
It’s interesting to note that where these two rare total solar eclipses in just 7 years meet marking an “X” onto America is near the New Madrid fault zone which is six times larger than the San Andreas fault zone in California.
Just over 200 years ago a series of absolutely devastating earthquakes along the New Madrid fault zone opened very deep fissures in the ground, causing the Mississippi River to run backwards in places, and were felt far away on the east coast.
They were the strongest earthquakes ever recorded east of the Rocky Mountains, and scientists tell us that it is only a matter of time before we experience similar earthquakes.
It is believed that those earthquakes shook an area ten times larger than that impacted by the great San Francisco earthquake of 1906. It was said some of the giant cracks that opened up in the ground were up to five miles long, and the stench of fire and brimstone hung in the air for months afterwards.
Such an earthquake now 200 years later through the heartland of a modern populous America would have a devastating human and financial toll.
Could it be in the future that a great American earthquake will strike right down the middle of the country just as these total solar eclipses that darkened the heartland?
Such eclipses and earthquakes could symbolize an America that is divided and also separated from its God.
We do know that Jesus foretold in Matthew 24 that in the Last Days there would be signs in the earth of earthquakes and celestial signs in the Sun, Moon, and stars pointing a rebellious humankind toward the reality of the Holy Scriptures so they may have an opportunity to turn to Him.
Should these extremely rare events during these Biblical signs of the times we are experiencing in human society and government cause us to pause and pray?
Jesus said for us to “watch and pray” and “be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
