A former Satan worshipper is warning Christians that Halloween “honors the devil,” and pointed out that the holiday is “very special” to satanists, as they are aware of the “implications and the dark power behind the night.”

John Ramirez, who converted from Santeria to Christianity, says people see no harm in Halloween because they are not performing any demonic rituals or sacrifices, but he says that with the dressing up in color and costumes celebrating this holiday “…  you have dedicated yourself and your kids to celebrating the devil’s holiday,” he said. “You have just made a pact with the enemy, and you are already sacrificing your children spiritually by dressing them up and changing their identity.”

As a Satan worshipper, Ramirez considered Halloween a very special time because he understood the “dark power” and “implications” behind the night. Ramirez, who was a high ranking priest in a Devil-worshipping cult, warns everyone against celebrating Halloween saying it opens the door for demons.

Ramirez believes the holiday, which was originally started as a remembrance of the dead where ancient pagans believed that the worlds of the living and dead would have been thinly divided, belongs to the Devil and his worshippers.

He says “It is very different from every other night in the witchcraft world. It would be like me saying to believers today, ‘How important to you are Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday?’ Halloween has that much weight and importance to those who dwell on the dark side,” he said.

Anton LaVey, the late founder of the Church of Satan, once said he took joy in believers taking part in the tradition. “I am glad that Christian parents let their children worship the devil at least one night out of the year,” he said. “Welcome to Halloween.”

Ramirez, now a pastor, knows all about the dark reality of Halloween. He once sacrificed animals as part of satanic rituals and his friends even knew him as “Lucifer’s son.”

Now saved as a Christian believer, he strongly warns Christians against celebrating Halloween and participating in harvest festivals.
