Rome was hit with what news reports called a “freak’ storm that brought the Roman city to a standstill when it was battered by giant hailstones that blanketed the city with massive chunks of ice.

Massive chunks of hail and torrential rain battered Rome when a freak storm struck with the adverse weather blanketing streets with icy chunks and trapped many drivers in their cars.

Some drivers abandoned their cars in the middle of streets that became flowing rivers of ice and were pictured slowly making their way through hail-covered streets. Remarkable photographs taken in the Italian capital show streets caked in ice, with cars marooned in the street.

Authorities issued alerts across the country with firefighters called out nationwide, from Milan in the north to Sicily in the south.

From the pictures, the large chunks of hail and ice that fell on Rome in this “freak storm” were huge. And this could be a sign pointing to the Last Day prophecies.

For the Bible prophecies foretell in Revelation 16 that in the coming Great Tribulation of the world, that the Last Days great Babylon will come in remembrance before God, and there will fall upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent, as much as a hundred pounds.

But in that time of wrath upon rebellious unbelievers, humanity will blaspheme God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
