The Palestinian Islamic Jihad of Gaza said they were going into battle in a war against Israel as they fired over 300 rockets toward central Israel from Gaza.
The Islamic Jihad began firing the rockets after a wave of Israeli airstrikes on Palestinian militants and locations in Gaza.
Who were preparing to make good on the militant group’s promise to bomb the center of Israel after the Israel Defense Force (IDF) had arrested their senior leader in the West Bank.
The bomb threat, which the IDF considered credible, had frozen the southern half of Israel as movement came to a standstill for days as Israeli officials closed roads and secured bus stations in anticipation of the attack(s).
Israeli leaders said they would not allow Palestinian militant terror groups to set the agenda or control the state of Israel as the Israeli jets struck Palestinian militants preparing attacks.
In response to the Israeli airstrikes, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group’s leader Ziad al-Nakhalah said: “We are heading to battle, and there is no truce after this airstrike. The results of this war will be in favor of the Palestinian people. The enemy should expect a battle, not a truce.”
He also said Tel Aviv will be ‘one of the targets of the resistance’s missiles, and the coming hours will prove to the enemy that all the forces of the resistance are one.’
Hamas – the other larger Palestinian militant group that rules Gaza – also responded to the strikes, saying “The resistance, with all its military arms and factions, is united in this battle and will say its word with full force. It is no longer possible to accept the continuation of this situation as it is.”
And the Palestinian Islamic Jihad leader, when speaking to the al-Mayadeen TV network from Iran, also said “we are starting the fight, and the fighters of the Palestinian resistance have to stand together to confront this aggression.”
As Gaza’s Palestinian military joint operations room, a group consisting of Hamas, Islamic Jihad, along with other Palestinian militants, which is all supported by Iran, said that they are preparing further responses to Israel’s airstrikes.
Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz visited communities near Gaza while saying that Israeli authorities were preparing “actions that will remove the threat from this region.”
Sirens have been blaring across Israeli towns, including in Tel Aviv, as the IDF continues its operation against Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Gaza as more than 350 rockets have been launched toward Israel so far.
The Biblical prophecies (Joel 3, Amos 1, Amos 2, Psalm 83 ) foretell that Gaza, called Philistia in the prophecies, will retaliate against Israel being in the Holy Land until a final Arab-Israeli war removes all Arab resistance signaling the world is nearing the end of this age and the coming of Jesus Christ.
These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
