The Texas Governor is appealing for out-of-state help to come and fight another wave of COVID-19 across the state.
The Governor has directed the Texas Department of State Health Services to use staffing agencies to find additional medical staff from beyond the state’s borders.
As the delta wave of Covid has begun to overwhelm its present staffing resources. He also has sent a letter to the Texas Hospital Association to request that hospitals postpone all elective medical procedures voluntarily.
Hospital officials in Houston have said that area hospitals with beds had insufficient numbers of nurses to serve them. Meanwhile one of Houston’s county hospitals was pitching tents to accommodate its COVID-19 overflow.
The Harris Health System and Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital in Houston added nearly 2,000 square feet of medical tents for the increase in Covid patient volume and to endeavor to keep staff and non-COVID-19 patients safe.
Last week, Houston area officials said the wave of delta variant infections so strained the area’s hospitals that some patients had to be transferred out of the city, with one being sent to North Dakota.
The Biblical prophecies (Matthew 24, Luke 21, Revelation 6) foretell that pestilence is a sign that will signal we are nearing the end of this age and the coming of Jesus Christ.
These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
