New York (NY) is in dire straits as they are scrambling to find medical supplies, hospital space, and more medical staff as the coronavirus outbreak is accelerating faster and harder than they even expected.

New York has already become the US coronavirus hot-spot as the US President declared New York a major disaster area.

But now the NY Governor is saying “the apex is higher than we thought and the apex is sooner than we thought,” as he pleads for medical supplies, warning that Covid-19’s peak in the state will be worse than anticipated.

Additionally he said the rate of infection is not slowing but accelerating: “We’re not slowing it — and it is accelerating on its own. We’re not looking at a freight train. We’re looking at a bullet train, because the numbers are going up that quickly.”

Previously the NY Governor said that the pandemic would overwhelm the state’s public health care. Where he said that the state could need up to 110,000 hospital beds, up to 37,000 intensive care beds, and up to 18,000 ventilators. But now he says they need more of everything, much more, putting the estimate for ventilators now at 30,000.

It’s been estimated the entire state only had about 53,000 hospital beds and only 3,000 intensive care beds, of which 80% were already occupied, and originally only a little over 2,000 ventilators available that were not already in use.

Now New York is scrambling to find space as the city is looking to turn the Javits Convention Center in Manhattan into a makeshift hospital and officials are considering turning other places into temporary medical facilities, including Madison Square Garden. The student dorms at New York University are already being taken for that purpose.

Doctors there are saying “there’s no reference for this,” and that “it’s totally unprecedented,” as reports say they are so low on supplies to where they are reusing masks for up to a week, slathering them with hand sanitizer between shifts where administrators have given doctors only one N95 mask to last all week.

According to employees at some facilities and emergency rooms, doctors wipe down the masks with hand sanitizer between shifts and put the masks in brown paper bags labeled with their names.

The state is asking retired health care workers to volunteer to work; and medical students are also working in response to the crisis, and if the number of cases continues to rise, it’s possible that graduating students could start seeing patients.

The NY Governor made another ominous comment, where he also said “New York is the canary in the coal mine, New York is happening first, what is happening to New York will happen to California and Illinois, it is just a matter of time.”

With his statement inferring that what’s happening in NY is a sign for what is coming for the rest of the United States.

And Jesus in His prophecies in the Holy Bible (Matthew 24, Luke 21) said that pestilence would be a sign indicating the nearing end of this age of grace as the tribulation wrath of the Revelation prophecies draw closer.

These events and conditions happening now are signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
