A heat wave across the southern U.S. has not only caused high temperatures but has been unrelenting with a string of consecutive 100+ degree temperature days in a whole week of triple digit high temperatures.

The strong wave of heat has blasted Texas where the state experienced a record power demand for electricity as people cranked up their air conditioners to endure this heat wave baking much of the southern United States.

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas or ERCOT, the grid operator for much of the state, reported demand hit 74,531 megawatts and the prior all-time high was 73,473 megawatts.

The previous record was set just last summer and now a year later another new record is set, showing how extreme heat is rising year over year.

And with the high demand the electric companies have been warning of low reserves and issuing alerts urging customers to conserve energy. It would be catastrophic for people if in such deadly heat a part of the power grid should fail.

The heat advisories were piling up so much in the Houston area that the city activated its heat emergency plan.

So to help citizens try to stay cool during the heat wave by opening cooling centers throughout the city with extended hours offering people refuge from the triple-digit heat.

Nearby at Galveston on the island the heat index remained above 100 degrees for a 40 straight hours to where even late at night the heat was still stifling with no letup.

As Galveston set a record for the warmest low temperature for a day with records there dating back to 1874, and Galveston also set a record for a daily high.

And in the Dallas-Fort Worth area they recorded five consecutive triple-digit days with a high of 103 with the utility companies asking people there also to limit their electricity use, as the power demand in Texas for electricity hit all-time records.

The dangerous heat wave sent temperatures soaring across more than a dozen states with more than 50 million people under heat advisories, like over in Mississippi where at Junae’s Grocery in Holly Bluff, Junae Brooks told the Associated Press that “It feels like hell is what it feels like.”

Scientists at the Max Planck Institute are describing weather forecasts for planet earth saying that prolonged heat waves in the future can be so bad they render some regions of the world uninhabitable.

As increasing heat will significantly worsen living conditions in parts of the world which will contribute to the pressure to migrate.

The Biblical Prophecies (Revelation 16) foretell that there will be increasing heat upon the earth from the Sun until temperatures will scorch the skin of humanity.

These events and conditions are signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).

Preparing those Biblically born again into the Kingdom of God to be ready to escape all these things that will come to pass, in the wrath of the tribulation of Revelation prophecy that comes upon the world of disobedience, as the born again Church is appointed instead to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
