When the U.S. military first announced it was sending an armored brigade battalion to Syria for the first time ever, after President Trump said US forces were leaving Syria, Defense Secretary Esper said it was to continue the mission against ISIS.
That the mechanized forces were going to ensure that the threat from ISIS remained vanquished and to prevent Syrian territory from falling back into the Islamic terrorist’s control.
But that was the cover story.
President Trump had said US forces were leaving Syria and that he wanted to get out of wars and that the Middle East was not worth fighting over. So why the sudden and confusing change?
Oil.
As the US President said in a speech, “We’re keeping the oil, remember that, I’ve always said that. Keep the oil. We want to keep the oil — $45 million a month — keep the oil. We’ve secured the oil.”
Sending Bradley armored fighting vehicles and perhaps Abrams battle tanks to Syria for the first time marked a new phase for the U.S. in Syria.
And since the armored deployment to Syria was announced, the media continued to press the Pentagon. And they later acknowledged that the U.S. armor and troops would actually prevent Russian and Syrian troops from getting the Syrian oil fields.
Which the U.S. wants that oil to stay in the Kurd’s control. And the U.S. military’s Syrian oil field mission objective is to ensure income for the Syrian Kurds. Who are counted on to continue guarding Islamic State prisoners and help American forces.
It was not about ISIS, but about the Pentagon making contingencies for a big fight, if necessary, with Russia, Syria, and Iran for control of Syria’s oil.
You see, after defeating Islamic State militants from eastern Syria, the Kurds seized control of the profitable oil fields in Deir el-Zour province. And a quiet arrangement has existed between the Kurds and the Syrian government since then.
Where the Syrian Kurds sell crude oil to local private refiners, who use basic refineries to process fuel and diesel and sell it back to the Kurds.
Where then Damascus of the Syrian Regime buys the surplus oil and fuel from the Kurds through middlemen in a profitable smuggling operation that has continued despite political differences.
And the oil was always likely to be a bargaining chip by the Kurds to negotiate a deal for their future with the Syrian government.
So obviously, with the armored brigade sent there the Pentagon is making serious contingencies for any conflict over Syria’s oil fields.
Which no doubt Russia wants them to be back under the control of the Syrian Regime, so they can pay Russia back for their military support of Assad’s government.
This means the danger for the US presence in Syria has increased with the potential that sooner or later the US forces could face Russian and Syrian forces if they stay there.
Now the potential for conflict at the Euphrates River in the Mid-East between the nations has gotten higher, because now U.S. armor and troops are sitting at the Euphrates River in Syria.
And it is at the Euphrates River in the center of the Middle East where chapter 9 of the Revelation Prophecy foretells that in the Tribulation the worst World War ever starts which will be devastating for the population of earth.
These events and conditions happening now are signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
Preparing those Biblically born again into the Kingdom of God to be ready to escape all the things that will come to pass, in the wrath of the tribulation of Revelation prophecy, that comes upon the world of disobedience. As the born again Church is not appointed unto wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10) but instead to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
