Historic Land Cyclone Brings Historic Devastation To Nebraska

Signs of the Last Days® MinistryGeneral

A historic cyclone that amazingly developed over land in 24 hours has brought historic flooding and devastation across the central U.S. with Nebraska as one of the hardest hit.

The Governor said, “This really is the most devastating flooding we’ve probably ever had in our state’s history, from the standpoint of how widespread it is.”

A meteorologist said more than 8 million people are under flood warnings in the Midwest and the Mississippi River Valley.

This landlocked state shouldn’t have any islands. But the deadly flooding that has deluged parts of Nebraska — and created islands where dry land should be — could get worse before it gets better.

Flood records are being shattered by huge margins across so many places and more rivers will likely break cresting records this week, the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency said.

Now the big concern is water draining downstream, further deluging communities that can’t take any more flooding.

A levee was breached flooding one city’s well fields and causing power outages in and around the area. Residents were being asked to limit their water needs to drinking, health and limited sanitation purposes.

Restaurants were mandated to serve food using disposable place settings and cups, shutting down car washers and prohibiting outdoor water use while areas remain under restrictions.

The massive flooding follows a powerful “bomb cyclone” that slammed the central US last week with hurricane-like winds and blizzard conditions. Melting ice and snow ended up in rivers and streams, causing flooding and damage days after the precipitation was over.

Nebraska’s Offutt Air Force Base, just south of Omaha, is also now under water.

The devastation is so widespread and severe that as the recovery process begins the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency urged residents to keep a look out for loved ones and neighbors.

Saying that warning signs of stress include: increased use of alcohol, tobacco or other drugs; feelings of anxiety, disbelief or numbness; physical reactions such as headaches; and the worsening of chronic health problems.

The Biblical prophecies (Luke 21, Revelation 16) foretell that earth’s weather cycles will intensify and bring distress of nations on the earth signaling we are nearing the end of this age and the coming of Jesus Christ.
