A massive volcano eruption in Tonga exploded that was so powerful it was recorded around the world.
Satellite images showed a huge eruption like a nuclear bomb mushroom cloud with a plume of ash, steam and gas rising like a mushroom above the blue Pacific waters north of New Zealand.
Scientists said images showed the huge eruption as a 3 mile-wide plume of ash and gas that rose like a mushroom to about 12 miles above the water as they also noticed large explosions, thunder, and lightning near the volcano.
The massive volcanic eruption in Tonga was so powerful it was recorded around the world and triggered tsunami waves that hit Pacific coastlines from Japan to the United States.
Tsunami advisories were issued for many coasts including Hawaii, Alaska and the U.S. West Coast, as scientists said tsunamis generated by volcanoes rather than earthquakes are relatively rare.
But waves measuring from a foot up to several feet have been reported hitting several coasts including Japan, Alaska, and California up to Oregon.
Also in New Zealand, more than 2,300 kilometers from Tonga, people were evacuated from northern coastal areas and several boats destroyed when a huge wave crashed into a marina.
Australia’s popular Bondi Beach in Sydney was also evacuated as a precaution while in California, coastal streets in Santa Cruz were awash and closed to traffic.
U.S. West Coast authorities are pleading with residents to stay out of the Pacific Ocean and away from beaches as the impacts of a tsunami caused by the volcanic eruption in the South Pacific could still affect the coastlines.
The U.S. Geological Survey estimated that the eruption caused the equivalent of a magnitude 5.8 earthquake. And a sonic boom from the volcanoes explosive eruption was heard 6000 miles away in Alaska and on the US West Coast.
But the full extent of the damage in Tonga was still unclear today with communication lines down. As some social media videos from Tonga showed large waves crashing ashore and streaming around houses and buildings.
Also, police and military evacuated Tonga’s King Tupou VI from his palace.
The Biblical prophecies (Matthew 24, Luke 21, Revelation 6) foretell that there will be seismic activity of earthquakes and volcanoes signaling the world is nearing the end of this age and the coming of Jesus Christ.
These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
