Hurricane Wreaking Havoc On Hawaii—Lack Of Shelters

Signs of the Last Days® MinistryNews

Hurricane Lane, which was the strongest storm to ever come this close to Hawaii in recorded history before weakening, is still wreaking havoc on Hawaii.

And its reported there are insufficient hurricane evacuation shelters to meet the estimated demand of the population and these shelters have no supplies.

As Hurricane Lane barrelled toward Hawaii it has packed sustained winds from 130 up to 160 mph, and officials in the Aloha state are warning residents they don’t have enough shelter space to meet the “estimated demands” of the population.

State officials said residents instead should harden their homes, and stock up on two weeks-worth of food and water to weather the storm and its after-effects. But on such an isolated island obviously supplies are limited.

There are already serious concerns for residents because of severe rain and flooding and there has been forecast more hurricane-force winds possible with torrential rain, flooding, and mudslides likely given the steep terrain.

Also, if the storm slows down even greater “catastrophic flooding” will be a danger, as the towering mountains on the islands could lead to deadly flash flooding and landslides.
