Sources within Iran are saying that their top nuclear scientist, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, was killed by Israel using a remote controlled machine gun mounted on a truck which afterwards then self-destructed.

And Israel is known to be expert in ‘killer drone’ technology for use on the battlefield, with remote-control pickups, boats, planes, and backpack drones at its disposal.

Now Iran is claiming a satellite-controlled gun mounted on a pickup truck was used to take out their top nuclear scientist pointing the finger of blame at Israel.

Israel has previously demonstrated remote controlled vehicles and weapons before. Such as drone pickup trucks which were used in unmanned border patrols, where a machine gun could also be mounted on the vehicle that could be operated from a control room.

Fakhrizadeh, according to sources reported by Iran’s FARS news agency, had been travelling in a bulletproof car with his wife north of Tehran when something hit the car, causing the convoy it was travelling in to stop.

When Fakhrizadeh then got out of the car to check what was happening, the remote-controlled gun opened fire, FARS said. The nuclear scientist was shot and killed.

A source is said to have described the operation lasting about three minutes with no human agents present at the scene of the assassination, and the shootings carried out only with automated weapons controlled by satellite.

Iran’s Supreme Leader the Ayatollah Khamenei has vowed revenge against the enemy saying there will be punishment of the perpetrators and those who ordered the attack.

Israeli officials have remained silent about the Iranian scientist’s death.
