Iran has illegally test-fired a ballistic missile – the first known test since President Trump took office. Afterwards, Iran warned the U.S. not to create tensions over the test.
The chairman of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, released a statement calling the test a violation of a U.N. Security Council resolution passed as a side agreement to the 2015 nuclear deal.
The U.S. mission to the United Nations said the United States had requested urgent consultations of the Security Council concerning Iran’s launch of a ballistic missile.
