Iran Vows Severe Revenge On U.S. for Killing Military Leader Soleimani

Signs of the Last Days® MinistryNews

Iran is vowing to seek a harsh revenge on the United States after an American airstrike in Iraq killed Iran’s most powerful military leader, the powerful Islamic Guard Quds Force commander named Qasem Soleimani.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said a “harsh retaliation is waiting for the criminals whose filthy hands spilled his blood.”

“The great nation of Iran will take revenge for this heinous crime,” Iranian President Hassan Rouhani tweeted after the news was confirmed.

Rouhani also said in a statement posted on the Iranian government website that “There is no doubt that the great nation of Iran and the other free nations of the region will take revenge for this gruesome crime from criminal America.”

The country’s foreign minister, Javad Zarif, called the U.S. strike “an act of state terrorism and a violation of Iraq’s sovereignty.”

Soleimani had become a powerful Iranian figure in the Middle East, having developed a network of powerful militia groups whose clandestine reach stretched into Iraq, Syria and across the Middle East.

And his death at the hands of the US is a major escalation in the recent tensions between Washington and Tehran.

Iranian state TV carried a statement by Ayatollah Khamenei also calling Soleimani “the international face of resistance.” As Khamenei declared three days of public mourning for the general’s death.

Khamenei also said on his Farsi-language Twitter account in reference to Soleimani that “Martyrdom was the reward for his ceaseless efforts all these years. With him gone, God willing, his work and his path will not be stopped, but severe revenge awaits the criminals who bloodied their foul hands with his blood and other martyrs in last night’s incident.”

Tens of thousands of people took to the streets of Tehran and other cities to protest against American “crimes” chanting “Death to America” and holding up posters of the slain Iranian commander, Qassem Soleimani.

No doubt after their appointed time of mourning, Iran will one day deviously strike in an attempt to take revenge on the US.

The Biblical Prophecies (Matthew 24) foretell that in the Last Days nation will rise against nation and there will be wars and rumors of wars.

These events and conditions happening now are signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).

Preparing those Biblically born again into the Kingdom of God to be ready to escape all the things that will come to pass, in the wrath of the tribulation of Revelation prophecy, that comes upon the world of disobedience. As the born again Church is not appointed unto wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10) but instead to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
