The Iraqi Prime Minister and the Parliament of Iraq have asked the United States Military to leave Iraq.

The Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi condemned the US in what he called the “assassination” of both the Iranian Quds Force commander Qasem Soleimani and Iraqi militia commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis in the U.S. airstrike in Baghdad.

Saying that the airstrike at the Baghdad airport by the US was an act of aggression on Iraq and breach of its sovereignty that will lead to war in Iraq, the region, and the world.

At the Iraqi prime minister’s recommendation, Iraq’s parliament in an emergency meeting has passed a resolution calling for the government to end the presence of foreign troops in the country in the wake of the U.S. airstrike which would expel the US military from Iraq.

The resolution asks Iraq’s government to cancel the request for assistance from the U.S.-led coalition operating in the country against the “Islamic State.”

The resolution read, “The government commits to revoke its request for assistance from the international coalition fighting Islamic State due to the end of military operations in Iraq and the achievement of victory.”

This is in the aftermath of the US killing of the powerful leader of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps, Qassim Suleimani, who was killed in a US drone strike at Iraq’s Baghdad Airport.

As the born again Church is not appointed unto wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10) but instead to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
