It is being reported by multiple news sites that ISIS has seized nearly 700 hostages in part of Syria controlled by US-backed forces, and had executed some of them and promised to kill more.

The U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces and a war monitor, the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, that monitors Syria’s war say members of the Islamic State group stormed a settlement of refugees  and kidnapped as many as 130 families and other individuals estimated to be approximately 700 hostages warning they would kill them.

The TASS news agency reported that IS militants had taken around 700 hostages in Syria’s Deir-al Zor province after attacking a refugee camp in an area controlled by US-backed forces.

Strangely, the U.S. for the most part has thus far remained largely silent on it.

An article by Fox news titled “US officials rebut Putin ISIS hostage claims: ‘fake news’ ” which can be googled, when clicked returns an empty 404 message as if the article was taken down. It seems the article had been about U.S. officials having rejected the claims that ISIS has taken nearly 700 people hostage.

It appears this story happening at the Euphrates River area in Syria is developing.
