Israel Makes Provocative Christmas Attack On Syria

Signs of the Last Days® MinistryNews

The Israeli Defense Forces made a daring and provocative Christmas night air raid into Syria with US military sources disclosing the attack and Israel confirming the Israeli air offensive.

According to sources from inside the region, a wide-ranging IDF attack took place southwest of Damascus Tuesday night, Dec. 25, hitting Iranian and Hizballah targets. They confirmed that some of them were embedded in Syrian army bases.

And the missiles were launched by the Israeli planes from inside Lebanese air space, reportedly with two waves of aircraft. The first wave were F-16 jets which failed to connect with their targets, then the IDF sent F-35 stealth planes over in a second wave.

But Syria is said to have countered the attack with Russian Pantsir-S2 and S-200 SAM air defense weapons which depending on reports seemed to have some success against the attack.

Additionally, its reported that Syria in retaliation fired a SA-5 missile into Israel that shook several towns on impact but exploded harmlessly in an unpopulated part of Mt. Carmel. Israel’s air defense system missed the incoming missile.
