Israel Rejects Russia’s Warning To Stay Out Of Damascus’ Skies

Signs of the Last Days® MinistryNews

A delegation of senior Russian military officers visited Israel for discussions in a series of meetings aimed at improving relations between the two armed forces, following the downing of a Russian spy plane by Syrian air defenses, which Moscow angrily blamed on Israel.

Russia had stopped coordinating its airborne operations over Syria with Israel after the incident, and also upgraded Syria’s defenses with its S-300 missile systems in retaliation toward Israel.

And now its reported the Russian government asked Israel, again, to halt its airstrikes against Iranian targets near the Damascus airport. Since Russian military officials said Moscow was preparing to renovate the airport that has been damaged in the eight years of fighting in the Syrian civil war.

The unnamed Russian officials said the Israeli strikes on Iranian and Hezbollah targets in the vicinity of the airport were causing foreign airlines to reconsider resuming flights to the Syrian capital.

But then Israel openly attacked Iranian military targets in Syria in a rare Israeli daylight air raid near the Damascus International Airport after Iranian forces fired toward Israel a surface-to-surface rocket that was intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system over a ski resort in the Golan Heights.

The Israeli Defense Forces called this its most extensive operation ever against Iranian Al Quds chief Qassem Soleimani’s forces in Syria with Israel obviously rejecting Moscow’s warning to stay out of the skies at Damascus.

But Russia is warning Israel against carrying out future airstrikes near the Damascus International Airport in the Syrian capital.

Moscow is saying it will not tolerate further airstrikes in the area due to plans to renovate the Damascus airport and resume international airline flights to the Syrian capital.

The Biblical prophecies foretell that tensions between Israel with Russia and Iran will cause aggression by them against Israel in the Last Days at the end of this age.
